How to play

  1. The number of flat sides facing up sets your move: Do 1, Gae 2, Geol 3, Yut 4 and Mo 5 spaces. Yut and Mo earn another throw after the move.
  2. Each player has four pieces. Choose one piece or a same-space stack to move. Your pieces stack when they meet; landing on an opponent sends that whole stack back to its yard and earns another throw.
  3. Move around the outside, or choose a diagonal shortcut at a corner. Once on a diagonal, follow it through the centre to the opposite corner.
  4. This edition uses an exact-finish house rule: a piece must land on the finish with its exact count. Back-do is off. Yutnori rules can vary by region and group.
  5. The first player to bring all four pieces home wins. Play locally on one device; there is no AI or online opponent.

Make your move

  • Tap or click Throw, select one of your pieces, then choose the route. A same-space stack moves together. Use buttons only; there is no drag control.
  • Keyboard: Tab to a control and press Enter or Space. Browser gamepad support is not included.
  • The match saves in this browser. It is local pass-and-play for 2–4 people, with no AI or online rooms.

A small head start

  • A Yut or Mo adds another throw, so choose a piece that can use both results well.
  • A shortcut saves spaces, but stopping on a corner can expose a stack to capture.
  • Stacking moves several pieces together and can accelerate a finish, but one capture sends the whole stack home.

Compatibility notes

Touch and keyboard controls are implemented. Physical phones, controllers and Tesla browsers await device testing.
