Umoria

Umoria brings the 1983 Moria dungeon crawler to a browser through a WebAssembly build. Prepare in a town, descend through a dangerous maze, gather equipment and search for the Balrog at the depths.

Opens on: Umoria official browser page · WebAssembly build. New tab; host requirements apply.

How to play

  1. Buy supplies and prepare your character in town before entering the mines.
  2. Explore one turn at a time, manage health and equipment, and descend deeper through the dungeon.
  3. A character can die permanently. The browser build stores saves in that browser's local IndexedDB, not in a Denny Games account.

Make your move

  • Keyboard: use the game's command keys and the included manual or in-game help; movement and actions are turn-based.
  • This is the Umoria site's WebAssembly build. Check its page for current browser requirements and save instructions.

A small head start

  • Visit the town shops before descending; supplies are harder to replace below.
  • Read unfamiliar item descriptions and watch your food and health.
  • Back up or export a save before clearing browser data or changing browser profiles.

Compatibility notes

The Umoria site hosts a WebAssembly build of this 1983 dungeon game. Browser saves use IndexedDB and remain in the browser profile where you play; they do not automatically move to another browser. Denny Games does not host the build or store those saves.

Denny Games has not verified this external build's gameplay, browser compatibility, controls or save behavior. Check the host's current requirements.

Play style: Directions. This game runs on an independent host or browser build. Denny Games does not manage its account, session or saves; see the notes above for how this build handles them.
